I haven't sketched anything lately. Exams and other uncool stuff happened to me. I'm on it again. Now my hand is very stiff. I was shading today and i could feel it. As a result i had to promise myself to sketch daily. I will start tomorrow. Pencil first. I'll gradually get back to pen sketches once i get hold of the same level of comfort i had once.
30 day sketching challenge yeah? ;)
Done. I'll sketch everyday, anything and post it. I just hope blogger works because it has been giving me a lot of trouble lately.
This post should have been made with the last one, but i couldn't publish it on time. This is one of the massive column members, which supports 4 big steel sections, which are in turn supporting the steel truss roof of the terminal. Granite cladding. The round cut outs in the support are meant for HVAC.
IGI airport again. Domestic. Flight 6e 131. Delhi Banglore. Sketched while waiting. Got unwanted attention. :)
This one was while travelling to Bangalore. When the seat right in front of you is kissing the tip of your nose, there is not much scope of sketching left. Still, there is this technique developed by this fellow Urban Sketcher which makes you sketch quite a bit. And its fun actually. One can draw stuff that could never have been incorporated in the sketch otherwise. Watch for the artist and his technique here, and here. And the following is my sketch. goIndigo. Delhi to Bangalore.
This would be my first metro sketch. I love travelling in the metro. Quick and effective means of transportation. This was on my way to college. My college is 45 kms away from my home. Its a 3 hour stretch without metro, with metro, its half the time. Its time i get my scanner repaired. :|
Yet another sketch involving curriculum... Sketched Humayun's Tomb an year back during the arts and graphics class.. Was fun, though it never got checked...
The sketch seemed more interesting a few days back when our 'history of architecture' teacher explained that this tomb had a double dome built, to avoid the tunnel effect of the dome inside... Each dome with respect to the proportion involved... Thumbsup.. Not a brilliant sketch though.
